For centuries, Aimar Batteux served as court sommelier in Strassen, his refined palate preserved through vampirism by the will of Duke Henrik Strauss. But three years ago, he broke free of his master’s thrall and fled into the wilds. There, a member of House de Blanc found him, and Aimar soon entered their service. Though treated with unexpected courtesy, he quickly learned his new patrons are far less delicate with their prey than with their wine.
