Once a vanguard knight in the Duke’s Army, Florian was among the first sent to quell the outbreak in Canos. However, the horrific slaughter of a thousand men in just one hour left him and a handful of survivors retreating across the Favian River. But instead of praise for his survival, Florian and his comrades were chained and branded deserters. Forced back into the front lines with his hand chained to a banner, he was ordered to inspire courage in his fellow soldiers.
